The Walpole Barn
More than a neighborhood wine shop, Walpole Barn is one of our favorite places to gather provisions for a slow evening back at the cabin. You'll find thoughtfully selected wines, local cheeses, fresh oysters, pantry staples, seasonal treats, and a beautifully curated collection of home goods. Throughout the year they also host tastings and special events that bring the community together.
Tip: Walk to Walpole Barn directly from Cache Cache along the woodland path, then return with a bottle of wine and everything you need for an evening by the fire.
Farm Restaurant • Bristol
Broad Arrow Farm & The Rooting Pig
Just five minutes from Cache Cache Retreat, Broad Arrow is one of the area's true gems. Seasonal ingredients, wood-fired cooking, and a relaxed atmosphere make it one of our favorite recommendations for lunch or dinner. The menu changes with what's growing, so every visit feels a little different.
Tip: Reserve ahead during the summer months and enjoy a leisurely lunch before exploring nearby Pemaquid Peninsula.

The Contented Sole
For a classic Maine seafood meal overlooking the harbor, The Contented Sole is hard to beat. Fresh lobster, fried seafood, chowder, and local oysters are served in an unpretentious setting where the view is just as memorable as the meal.
Tip: Arrive a little before sunset and linger over dinner as the harbor quiets for the evening.
